FOOBS Trail and Fun Runs : Old Basing (11 October 2026)
The FOOBS Trail and Fun Runs is an annual community running event held at Old Basing and Lychpit Recreation Ground, 93 The St, Old Basing, Basingstoke RG24 7DA, UK. The event comprises three off-road runs that start and finish in the village and pass through surrounding countryside. The two longer trail races use chip timing and the courses feature varied terrain.

- 10K Trail Run
- 6K Trail Run
- 2K Fun Run
The organiser is the F.O.O.B.S. Run Team and proceeds are raised for Friends of Old Basing Schools (F.O.O.B.S.). Included for participants are a finisher medal, chipped timing for the trail races, finish-line treats, and prizes for top finishers in the trail events. Cakes, refreshments and a possible BBQ are available with proceeds going to F.O.O.B.S.
Age and participation notes: the 10K has a minimum age requirement of 14 on race day; the 6K requires competitors to be 11 or older, with children aged 8 to 10 permitted only when paired 1:1 with an adult; the 2K is open to ages 4 and above. A bag drop is provided. Dogs are not permitted on the recreation ground or course. Parking on the site is weather dependent and is offered for a suggested donation.
