2nd Annual Blazers Run and 1-Mile Walk - Irving
The 2nd Annual Blazers Run and 1-Mile Walk is a community athletic event hosted at The Highlands School in Irving, Texas. The event features two distinct distances to accommodate different levels of activity and interest. Participants can choose between the following options:
- Blazers 5K Run
- Blazers 1-Mile Walk
The course for both the 5K and the 1-mile events begins on the newly constructed track surrounding the school football field. After starting on the track, the route exits the school campus before returning to the same location for the finish. All participants are provided with an official bib and a timing chip to record their performance.
For the 5K Run, recognition is given to the top three finishers across four specific age groups. Registration is open to the public, and there is no entry fee for children seated in strollers.
Access to the school grounds by vehicle is restricted shortly before the events begin. Participants have the choice of collecting their race or walk packets on the morning of the event or during designated afternoon hours at the school playground in the week leading up to the race.
