Event Overview
The Blarney Blitz is a St. Patrick's Day themed 5K run/walk in Peoria, Illinois. It is part of the Peoria Holiday Race Series. The event starts and finishes on the Riverfront Trail, offering views of the Illinois River. The post-race party is held at Kelleher's Irish Pub.
Participation and Schedule
The event includes a costume element. Registration offers tiered pricing. Packet pickup is available the day before the race at RC Outfitters and on race day at the same location.
Included with Registration
Registered participants receive an official event beer glass, St. Paddy's beads, one drink ticket (for beer or soda), and entrance to the post-race party with food at Kelleher's Irish Pub. The beer glasses and beads are limited to the first 700 registered participants.
Awards
Awards are given for overall top male and female finishers (gun time) and the top three males and females in various age groups (net time). Awards are claimed at a results table on race day; there is no formal awards ceremony. The awards are described as perishable and cannot be picked up after the event.
