Blackwater Charity Triathlon 2026
The event takes place on 6 September 2026 at Blackwater Leisure Centre in Maldon and raises funds for a chosen local charity. It is a pool-based multisport event that expects about 200 competitors and includes individual and relay races plus youth formats.
Distances for the main races:
- Novice Triathlon: 200m swim, 12km bike, 2.5km run
- Novice Triathlon Relay: 200m swim, 12km bike, 2.5km run
- Sprint Triathlon: 400m swim, 21km bike, 5km run
- Sprint Triathlon Relay: 400m swim, 21km bike, 5km run
- TriStar 3 Aquathlon: 400m swim, 3km run
- Youth Aquathlon: 400m swim, 5km run
The swim stage uses a 25m, four lane pool with entry and exit steps and a hoist. Transitions are on grass and listed as 25m from the swim. Bike routes are on undulating tarmac with distance markers. Run legs are on flat tarmac around Promenade Park, with aid stations, distance markers and closed roads for running sections. The event lists accessible changing, parking and toilets, aid stations, chip timing, numbered racking, finishers medals and published results. Online entry closes 01/09/2026.
