About the race
PFW Running presents a festive five-mile road race starting and finishing at Farm Yard Brew Co in Lancaster on Saturday 12 December 2026. The measured, flat course follows Gulf Lane and offers views across open countryside and the Trough of Bowland hills. The maximum field is 150 entrants and the minimum age is 18 years. Entry includes medical cover, friendly marshals, free parking and event operation under a road running license.
Race extras provided as part of entry are a Santa hat, a mince pie and beer for finishers. There will be a beer-stocked aid station at the halfway point and two cans of beer awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers. No medals are issued at the finish; finishers receive a voucher for a free pint or a soft drink. All entrants are entered into a day-of-event draw to win six cans of Farm Yard Brew Co beer.
The event is the third in a series of three Farm Yard five-mile beer runs in 2026, following spring and summer editions; a reduced rate is available for entry to all three at once. Refunds are not permitted. Deferrals or transfers to another runner or another event of similar value are allowed up to one week before the event date.
