Beerwah at Daybreak
Beerwah at Daybreak is a trail running event staged at the base of Mt Beerwah in the Glass House Mountains National Park on 6 December 2026. The event comprises three races:
- Marathon : two laps of the half marathon course, total elevation gain 1172m
- Half Marathon : elevation gain 586m
- 10 km : elevation gain 294m
The course is marked with reflective orange and silver flagging tape, red directional arrows at intersections, and red crosses to indicate wrong routes. Checkpoints supply water, electrolyte and a small variety of food but no disposable cups; participants are expected to carry their own cup or use a hydration system. Drop bags are permitted for Marathon runners and can be accessed at the completion of each lap.
Entries close on 30 November; there are no entries on the day. Refunds are available until 10 November 2026 subject to a $30 administration fee; transfers to another person or event are not allowed. Minimum age limits apply for each distance and participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the event. Support crews are not allowed on the course but may be at the Start/Finish area; spectators may view runners at the Start/Finish only.
Mandatory gear includes a mobile phone with emergency contacts, race bib worn on the front, a water bottle or hydration pack (minimum 500ml) and a compression bandage. A headlight or suitable torch is required for the Marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
