Trail Run Australia - Sunshine Coast 24hr Ultra
Trail Run Australia Sunshine Coast is a multi-format trail running festival held at Camp SMEAC, Ewen Maddock Dam, Landsborough on 28–29 November 2026. The event uses a single scenic loop of 5.0 km that runners repeat throughout the race window; each completed circuit within the hour counts toward a competitor’s total.
The course features approximately 3.99 km of single track and 0.91 km of fire trail per lap, with about +99 m elevation gain and -99 m loss per lap. Event formats include:
- 24hr - 120 km (24 laps)
- 10hr - 50 km (10 laps)
- 5hr - 25 km (5 laps)
- 5 km Finale - 5 km
Categories include solo, pairs and relay teams, plus a Family Team option for the 5hr format. Minimum ages vary by category; for example, 24hr solo entrants must be at least 18 years old. Compulsory items include enclosed running shoes, a 500 ml water bottle, race number with timing chip, and a torch for overnight laps. Race HQ is a vehicle-free, tent-friendly base with no camping, fires or BBQs permitted onsite.
Safety provisions include staffed check points and first aid at Race HQ. The event supports SMEAC with on-site catering proceeds.
