Trail Run Australia Sunshine Coast
Trail Run Australia Sunshine Coast is a multi-format trail running event held at Camp SMEAC, Ewen Maddock Dam, Landsborough, Queensland on 28–29 November 2026. The event is based around a single 5.0 km lap that mixes rainforest single track and fire trail, with per-lap elevation gain of +99 m and loss of -99 m. Each lap is measured and timed with a race number that includes a timing chip.
Distances and formats offered include:
- 24hr Ultra covering up to 120 km on repeated 5.0 km laps
- 10hr options, including a split 5hr+5hr format and a straight 10hr overnight format
- 5hr challenge on the same 5.0 km lap
- 5 km Finale run on the final lap
Participants must carry compulsory equipment such as enclosed running shoes, a 500 ml water bottle, their race number with timing chip, and a torch for overnight laps. The venue is vehicle free within Race HQ and tents are permitted; no open fires or personal cooking equipment are allowed. Catering and on-site first aid are provided, with proceeds from the camp kitchen donated to SMEAC, a veteran-led charity operating at the venue. Categories include solos, pairs and teams, and minimum ages vary by event. The event format records total laps and cumulative time for placings.
