Beerwah@Night at Mt Beerwah, Glass House Mountains National Park
Beerwah@Night is a night trail running event staged at the base of Mt Beerwah in the Glass House Mountains National Park. The event comprises three races: 10 km, Half Marathon, and Marathon. The marathon uses two laps of the half marathon course with opposite lap directions for each loop.
Courses are marked with reflective orange and silver flagging tape, red directional arrows and red crosses to indicate wrong turns. Checkpoints provide water, electrolyte and a small variety of food but do not supply disposable cups; participants should carry their own cup or use a hydration pack. Elevation gains are listed for each distance with the 10 km, half marathon and marathon routes having progressively greater climb.
Mandatory items include a mobile phone with emergency contacts, a race bib worn on the front of the body, a headlamp or suitable torch, a water bottle or hydration pack with at least 500 ml capacity and a compression bandage. Drop bags are permitted for marathon entrants and can be accessed from the drop bag zone after each lap.
Support crews are not allowed on the course; support is permitted at the start/finish area only. Spectators may view runners at the start/finish location. Entries close in late January and refunds are available until mid January subject to an administration charge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
