Black Hill Trail Run
Black Hill Trail Run takes place on Sunday 19 September 2027 in Bere Regis, Dorset, with Race HQ at the Scout Hut on Elder Road. The event offers off-road races on well worn trails that include boggy and steep sections, low branches, tree roots and occasional holes, and is described by organisers as a figure of eight course.

The 5km and 10km start together and split at about 3.5km; the split is signed and marshalled. There is no water station on the route; drinking water is available at the finish. First aiders will be present for medical emergencies. Competitors must provide relevant medical information at registration and write medical and emergency contact details on the back of their race number.
Canicross entries are permitted in both events. Dogs must wear a suitable harness and be attached to a waist belt on the human by a shock-absorbent line; dogs must be over 12 months old. Entrants should be appropriately insured for third party injury caused by their dog.
Parking is provided at a designated field at Wild Woodbury with marshals and signage. Prizes include 1st to 3rd hampers for male and female finishers in each race, and Top-Dog awards for leading canicross runners. The event is run under an Association of Running Clubs race permit and proceeds benefit Bere Regis Scout Group and Kingsbere Explorer Scout Unit.
