Black Friday 5K Run/Walk
The Black Friday 5K provides an alternative to traditional shopping activities on the day following Thanksgiving. The event takes place in Shelbyville, Indiana, starting at the Intelliplex Conference Center. Participants follow a flat course primarily consisting of paved trails, making it a predictable surface for both runners and walkers.
The event features a 5k distance and utilizes chip timing to ensure accurate results for all participants. The Intelliplex Conference Center serves as an indoor facility for registration and is located in close proximity to both the start and finish lines.
All finishers receive a Black Friday medal upon completing the course. Recognition is also given to top performers, with Turkey Trophy Awards presented to the first through third place finishers overall. Additionally, trophies are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group.
