Black Diamond Running Event

The Black Diamond returns to the DFW area in North Texas, offering several running and walking distances for participants. The event takes place in Rowlett and features a range of road races including a full marathon, half marathon, and shorter distances. All events are open to both runners and walkers, and the organizers do not enforce strict cut-off times for completion.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

Marathon (26.2 miles)
Half-Marathon (13.1 miles)
10K
5K
1 Mile
Kid's Dash

Electronic chip-timing is provided for all race distances of 5K through the Marathon. Participants in the 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon, and Marathon receive an event-themed t-shirt and a five-inch custom finisher medal upon completion.

For competitive runners, age group awards are available for the 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon, and Marathon distances. Medals are awarded to the top four finishers in various divisions, alongside recognition for Overall, Masters, and Grand Masters categories for both men and women. Awards are distributed on-site during the event and are not shipped to participants afterward. There are no age group awards for the 1 Mile distance.
