2026 Bishop Memorial 5k & 10k
The event takes place on October 24 at Port City Brewing in Alexandria, Virginia. It offers two race distances:
- 5k
- 10k
Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Fall Series. A virtual run option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Runners receive one glass of beer from Port City Brewing, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and electronic chip timing. There are no finisher medals or awards for this event. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before October 14; additional shirts will be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis.
The course is described as fairly flat and mostly paved, with a short light-gravel out-and-back section near the start. The 10k follows the out-and-back route twice. Water stations are placed along the courses: five on the 10k at approximate mile markers 1, 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, and 5.2, and two on the 5k at approximate mile markers 1 and 2.1. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located in Port City Brewing.
Live results will be posted online and via a QR code at the event; final results with series points will be posted the Monday after the race. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered, though shirt sizes for race day registrants cannot be guaranteed.
