Birmingham Running Festival - December 2027
The Birmingham Running Festival takes place on 19 December 2027 at Sutton Park, Park Road, Sutton Coldfield, B73 6BT. The event offers multiple race distances in a large National Nature Reserve setting about six miles from Birmingham city centre.
Distances include:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Junior Race
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post-race goodies and a bag drop. The courses are on road surfaces; the half marathon lists an elevation gain of 306 m. An optional event t-shirt is available at checkout.
Minimum ages are specified for each distance: half marathon 17 years and above, 10K 15 years and above, 5K 11 years and above, and the junior race for under 11s. The event village hosts partners and facilities; the partner YouFibre will be present in the event village.
Event logistics note a secure baggage marquee, portaloos in the event village, water stations positioned around the course and a bottle of water at the finish. The park is accessible on foot and by cycle with cycle parking available. On-site parking is very limited; there are several car parks within a 15-minute walk and the main park entrances are a short walk from Sutton Coldfield town and rail station.
