Event Overview
The Halesowen Aquathlon is a multi-sport event organized by the Halesowen Triathlon Club. The race is based at the Halesowen Leisure Centre in the West Midlands. The venue provides participants with a secure transition area, as well as access to on-site shower and toilet facilities.
Course Details
The event consists of a swim followed by a run. Participants first complete a 400m pool-based swim. This is followed by a 5km run on a course described as fairly flat. Timing for the event is recorded using electronic chips, and a screen at the finish line displays immediate feedback.
Participation and Categories
The event offers two main entry formats:
- Sprint (Individual)
- Relay
Registration is open to various age groups, with official prizes awarded to the top three open male and female finishers. Additionally, recognition is given to the first male and female finishers in the over 40, over 50, and over 60 age categories. Each participant is limited to winning one prize.
