Birmingham Chapter of AAZK Annual ZooRun
The Birmingham Chapter of AAZK Annual ZooRun takes place on February 21, 2026 at the Birmingham Zoo, 2630 Cahaba Road, Birmingham, AL. The event includes the Cardio for the Coast 3K fun run and a spectator option. The course uses paved pathways around the zoo, passes through the parking lot, and includes unpaved pathways. The event is rain or shine and no refunds will be offered due to weather.
All race participants receive a custom race t-shirt, admission to the Birmingham Zoo on race day, and a chipped race bib. Either the t-shirt or the race bib provides admission for the active participant. Awards will be presented to the fastest and the slowest runners. Zoo memberships are not valid for entry because the event is outside regular zoo operating hours. No cash transactions will be available for purchases and all registrations must be completed through the event website.
A spectator option grants zoo admission only; everyone joining a runner must purchase a spectator ticket. To guarantee a preferred t-shirt size, orders must be placed by February 1 at noon. Late registrants will receive a t-shirt if sizes remain available. Packet pick-up is in the Birmingham Zoo parking lot with signs directing to the area.
