The 15k course begins along the French Broad River valley, includes early climbs and downhill sections, and passes in front of the Biltmore House, the Walled Garden, Rose Garden, Conservatory, Azalea Garden, Bass Pond, and Boathouse before returning to Antler Hill Village. Aid stations and restrooms are located at several points including near mile 1.6, mile 4.5, and just before the final segment. A lead vehicle and a sweeper vehicle operate on the 15k course. Runners who do not reach the house before the course cutoff may be picked up by the sweep vehicle.
The 5k is an out and back along the French Broad River with a turnaround at the Biltmore Lagoon. A lead bike accompanies the 5k and a water stop and a port a john are available near the 1.5 mile mark. Roads remain open to limited vehicle traffic so runners are asked to keep to the right when possible.
Packet pick up is offered Saturday May 16 from 3pm to 5pm at the DoubleTree by Vanderbilt and on race morning at the Reception and Ticketing Sales Center near the estate entrance. Included with 2026 registration are a finisher medal, t shirt, collectable bib, five aid stations on course, estate entry for race morning, and professional chip timing.
