Biketoberfest : Sustain Charlotte
Biketoberfest on October 11, 2026 is a citywide community event organized by Sustain Charlotte. The event encourages participants to explore Charlotte’s neighborhoods and visit local businesses and organizations while completing light challenges through a mobile-friendly event platform. Participants may bike, walk, or combine routes with public transit and complete the course at their own pace. Costumes are encouraged and the event is presented as family friendly.
The event concludes with an after-party at Triple C Brewing where attendees can find live music, food and drinks, local vendors, a limited-release Biketoberfest collaboration beer, and raffle prize drawings. Since its launch in 2015, Biketoberfest has grown and serves as Sustain Charlotte’s largest fundraiser.
Route information and turn-by-turn directions are provided in several formats for use on phones and GPS devices. Available options include full and short route maps, RunGo turn-by-turn directions, RideWithGPS routes, FIT files suitable for Garmin Edge devices, and a Google map view. Past participation and community engagement figures include 504 participants, 36 event sponsors, 67 volunteers, and 712 community members engaged. Registration proceeds support Sustain Charlotte’s work on smart growth, transportation choices, and community connectivity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
