About the race
Bigfoot Running Company presents the Red, White and Blue Half Marathon in Waco, Texas on June 13, 2027. The street address is to be determined. The event offers both in-person and virtual options and includes multiple race distances and volunteer opportunities.
Distances offered:
- Kids Dash, about 50 m, for ages 10 and under, not timed.
- 2 Mile, not chip timed, includes a tee shirt and medal.
- 4 Mile, chip timed, overall trophies and standard age group awards.
- 8 Mile, chip timed, overall Bigfoot trophies and standard age group awards.
- Half Marathon 13.1 Miles, chip timed, overall Bigfoot trophies and standard age group awards.
- Virtual Run 13.1 Miles, virtual participation option.
- Volunteer then Run 4 Miles, limited to the first 15 sign ups, includes chip timing.
For the 4 Mile, 8 Mile, and Half Marathon events there are 1st overall male and female trophies, special recognition pins for 1st place masters (age 40+), and age group award pins. Age groups listed include 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, and five-year increments from 20-24 through 70+ with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place recognition where applicable. All finishers of all distances receive a medal and shirt. Shirt guarantee cutoff is 10 days before the event.
Course and logistics details note parks and green belts as typical locations, with mixed surfaces including pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Aid stations will provide water on course. Finish area amenities include snacks, bottled water, a race rally tent, and a DJ. Packet pickup is offered beginning 1.5 hours before the event. Volunteer roles are available with check in 1.5 hours before start and include water station, course monitor, finish line helper, turtle sweeper, packet pickup, floater, lead bike, and Bigfoot mascot, with listed benefits for full race volunteers.
