Running Through the Decades 1980s Edition (Waco)
This event, hosted by Bigfoot Running Company at Brazos River Park in Waco, Texas, features multiple race options with an 1980s theme, a pre-race costume contest, and music from the decade. The event provides packet pickup, aid stations with water, on-course support, and results and awards at the registration area after finish.
All finishers receive a shirt and a finisher medal. Several races are chip timed and offer overall, masters, and age-group recognition; top overall finishers receive Bigfoot trophies and masters earn special pins. Age-group awards are offered for categories from 10 and under through 70 plus with Gold Silver and Bronze pins.
Volunteer roles are available with specific duties such as water stations course monitoring finish line support and packet pickup. Full race volunteers receive a race shirt VIP access and a choice of a future race entry or a $20 digital gift card. A Volunteer Then Run option includes a chip timed 5K entry a shirt and a finisher medal and is limited in availability.
Courses use paved trails and park paths with possible crushed granite or dirt sections. Events take place in public parks and greenbelts where other park users may be present.
