Turkey Shuffle at Turkey Mountain Park
The Turkey Shuffle is a fall running event held at Turkey Mountain Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Races are offered on park and green belt trails with mixed surfaces; runners may encounter pavement, crushed granite and dirt paths. DJ music, a race rally tent with snacks and refreshments, and live awards are part of the event atmosphere. Aid stations are located on course to provide water and assistance. All finishers of all distances receive a medal and shirt. The shirt guarantee cutoff is ten days before the event.
Distances and formats offered:
- Kids Dash: about 50 meters for children 10 and under.
- 1 Mile: one mile, untimed, includes tee shirt and race medal.
- 5K: chip timed, 3.11 miles, includes overall trophies and age group awards.
- 10K: chip timed, 6.22 miles, includes overall Bigfoot trophies and age group awards.
- Virtual Run: 6.22 miles virtual option.
- Volunteer then Run 5K: volunteer option for the 5K that includes a chip timed bib, tee, and finisher medal; limited availability.
The event includes a costume contest with a "Biggest Turkey" trophy and a prize pack that includes a certificate for two future race entries, a gift card, and a Bigfoot swag pack. Standard age group awards are distributed across multiple age brackets for the 5K and 10K, and special recognition is given to masters categories. Full race volunteers may receive a Bigfoot race shirt, souvenir medal subject to availability, VIP race access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 pre-paid digital gift card.
