Day of the Dead Half Marathon - Tulsa
The Day of the Dead Half Marathon: Parks Edition is scheduled for 10/24/2026 at Riverside 96th Street Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The weekend includes multiple race options, a costume contest, post-race rally tent with music, and volunteer opportunities.
The primary course is a 13.1 mile half marathon that runs through parkland and green belts. Course surfaces may include paved trails, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths. Aid stations along the route provide water and on-course assistance. Timing is chip based for the 5K, quarter marathon, and half marathon; some shorter events are not chip timed. Standard age group awards and overall trophies are offered for chip timed distances, with specific recognition for masters and youth categories.
A pre-race costume contest is judged for creativity, authenticity, and overall impact; the winner receives the Day of the Dead Best Costume Award and a prize package. The finish area includes a rally tent with live awards, music from a DJ, refreshments and snacks, and race memorabilia such as shirts, medals, and trophies.
