The Wiener Run - Houston
The Wiener Run in Cypress, Texas takes place at Oyster Creek Park on 05/15/2027. The event offers a mix of in-person and virtual options and includes post-race food service at the finish line for participants.

- Volunteer then Run 5K (3.11 Miles)

The in-person races feature aid stations along the course, finisher medals, and soft race shirts. A live DJ and awards celebration are scheduled at the finish area. The 5K and 10K are chip-timed with standard age group awards, overall trophies for top finishers, and recognition for masters (40+). Published age groups cover 10 & under through 70 and older.
Volunteer opportunities are offered in running and non-running roles. A Volunteer then Run option combines a volunteer shift with a chip-timed 5K entry and includes a race shirt and finisher medal; this option is limited to the first five sign-ups. Full race volunteers receive a race shirt, VIP race access, and a choice of a future race entry or a $20 Amazon gift card.
Course surfaces include pavement, crushed granite, and grass paths. Events occur in public parks; participants share paths with dog walkers and picnickers. Race operations proceed rain or shine.
