2026 2nd Chance Run - Houston
The 2nd Chance Run in Houston is scheduled for September 19, 2026, at Willow Waterhole / 5300 Dryad Dr, Houston, TX 77035. The event is offered in-person and virtually and features short-course running and walking options.

The event is organized by LifeGift and honors organ, eye, and tissue donors across 109 Texas counties. It aims to raise awareness about donation and transplantation and to support donor family and recipient recognition activities. A fundraising goal of $20,000 is listed for the event.
All registrations include a custom event T-shirt and a custom 2nd Chance Run medal. Additional inclusions vary by entry type; 5K registrations include a race bib and timing chip. Packet pick-up is held the day before at LifeGift's address listed for race materials. Donor remembrance yard signs are provided at no charge for families to decorate and place along the course. Teams are encouraged; teams with five or more in-person members receive a $2.00 refund per member, with youth members excluded from that discount.
