Heroes and Villains - San Antonio
The Heroes and Villains event in San Antonio, TX, takes place on September 12, 2026 at Southside Lions Park. The event is presented by Bigfoot Running Company and offers multiple race distances, a costume contest before the races, post-race awards, a DJ, and on-site refreshments. Packet pickup is available on race morning and packet pickup opens 1.5 hours before the race. All races proceed rain or shine. Courses use local park and greenbelt trails, mostly paved with some crushed granite and dirt sections. Aid stations will be available on course. All finishers in every distance receive a medal and shirt. Standard awards include Bigfoot trophies for 1st overall male and female, recognition for masters (40+), and age-group pins for top placings. Volunteer roles and benefits are listed for both run-and-volunteer and non-running volunteers, with limited spots available for the volunteer-plus-run option.
