Event overview
The Running Through the Decades Half Marathon - Dallas is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Oak Point Park (Amphitheater) in Plano, TX. Race distances and features
- Kids Dash - about 50 meters for children 10 and under; includes a shirt and Kids Dash medal.
- 1 Mile Fun Run - 1 mile; untimed, includes a tee and finisher medal.
- 5K - 3.11 miles; chip-timed with overall and age-group awards, Masters recognition.
- Quarter Marathon - 6.55 miles; chip-timed with trophies and age-group awards.
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles; chip-timed with trophies and full age-group awards.
- Volunteer then Run 5K - 3.11 miles; limited spots, includes chip-timed bib, t-shirt, and finisher medal.
- Virtual Run option available.
All in-person finishers receive a race medal and shirt. Awards include overall Bigfoot trophies, Masters pins for 40+, and age-group pins for ages 10 & under through 70+. Course surfaces are mixed - paved trails, park paths, crushed granite, and dirt paths - and aid stations will provide water. The event takes place in public parks and greenbelts and may encounter other park users. Volunteers have multiple roles and options, including non-running and volunteer-then-run positions.
