Event Overview
The Running Through the Decades Half Marathon - Dallas is a 1980s-themed running event hosted by Bigfoot Running Company. It is scheduled for a Sunday in April. The event is planned to take place at Oak Point Park (Amphitheater) in Plano, Texas.

Features and Activities
A pre-race 80s costume contest is held. The event features a live DJ playing 80s music. All participants receive a finisher medal and a race shirt. Snacks and refreshments are available post-race.
Awards are given for top finishers. This includes Bigfoot trophies for 1st overall male and female, special recognition pins for 1st Masters (40+), and age-group awards (Gold, Silver, Bronze pins) from 10 & under through 70+. The 5K, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon are chip-timed events with overall and age-group awards.
Course and Logistics
Courses are on paved trails and park paths, with possible mixed surfaces like crushed granite or dirt. The event takes place in a public park. Aid stations with water are provided. The event is held regardless of weather conditions.
