Bigfoot Classic - Pflugerville
The event is a set of running and virtual races held at NE Metro Park, 15500 Sun Light Near Way, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Multiple distances are offered, and all finishers receive a medal and a shirt. Packet pickup is provided beginning 1.5 hours before the start; an additional packet pickup may be scheduled and communicated to registered participants.
Chip timing is used for the 5K, 10K, and 15K races. Age-group awards and overall trophies are provided for the chip-timed distances, including special recognition for masters (age 40+) and standard 10-year age brackets with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place pins for youth and adult categories. Aid stations are placed on course to supply water and assistance if needed. Course surfaces may include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths.
The event includes a crowd-judged costume contest with a single crowd-selected winner who receives a trophy, a prize pack, and a free entry to a future Bigfoot Classic. A volunteer-run option called Volunteer then Run lets participants help before the race and then join the 5K; this option is limited to the first 10 sign-ups.
