Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Austin
Set in Lake Pflugerville Park, the Gingerbread Lane holiday race is a festive event featuring several distance options through Texas parkland and greenbelts. The course primarily utilizes paved trails, though participants may also encounter sections of crushed granite or dirt paths.
Available distances include:
- 10 km (two laps, chip-timed)
- 5 km (chip-timed)
- 1 mile (all ages, not chip-timed)
- Kids Dash (50-meter sprint for children 10 and under)
- Virtual Run (remote participation option)
Participants in the timed 5 km and 10 km events are eligible for overall finisher trophies and age group awards across various categories, including masters for those aged 40 and over. Finishers in all categories receive a holiday-themed race shirt and a commemorative medal. The event also holds a costume contest where participants are encouraged to wear festive attire to compete for prizes.
