Jubilee Mobile Food Pantry Prayer Walk/5K
The Jubilee Mobile Food Pantry Prayer Walk/5K is the second annual event organized by Restoring God’s Family (RGF) Network in Georgetown, Texas. The event combines a 5K (3.1 miles) run and a Prayer Walk and is connected to the Jubilee Mobile Food Pantry program, which delivers fresh produce, meats, bread and other food within the community.
The program responds to food insecurity in Williamson County, where roughly 77,610 people, or 12.6% of the population, experience food insecurity. The event collects nonperishable food item donations during the race in recognition of Hunger Action Month, a nationwide September campaign by Feeding America and local food banks to raise awareness about food insecurity.
Restoring God’s Family is a 501(c)(3) Christian nonprofit with four programs listed in its materials: Jubilee Mobile Food Pantry, Jubilee Community Church, Family Pathways and Warrior Training School.
