Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K - Oklahoma City
Gingerbread Lane is a holiday-themed race at Stars & Stripes Park in Oklahoma City that offers on-site and virtual options. The event includes multiple distances, a kids dash, a costume contest with prizes, race shirts and finisher medals for all finishers, and post-race refreshments such as holiday cookies and milk. A DJ will provide music at the event and awards are presented live at the race rally area.
The course is held at parks and green belts and may use mixed surfaces. Participants can expect paved trails, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths. Aid stations are located on the course to provide water and assistance as needed. The 5K and 10K are chip timed and include age group awards and overall trophies; the 1 Mile and Kids Dash are not chip timed. Shirt availability is guaranteed up to ten days before the event.
Volunteer options include course monitors, water station helpers, finish line helpers, packet pickup, sweepers, lead bike, mascot, and other floater roles. Volunteer rewards vary by role and may include race shirts, souvenir medals subject to availability, VIP access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 prepaid gift card.
