Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K - Oklahoma City
The Gingerbread Lane event takes place in Oklahoma City at Stars & Stripes Park. This holiday-themed race series utilizes local park trails and scenic greenbelts. While the courses primary stay on paved trails, participants may encounter mixed surfaces including pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths.
Several distance options are available for participants:
- Kids Dash (approximately 50 meters)
- 1 Mile Run
- 5K Run (3.11 miles)
- 10K Run (6.22 miles)
- Virtual Run
The 5K and 10K events are chip-timed and include various award categories. Trophies are awarded to the first overall male and female finishers. Recognition pins are provided for masters categories and top finishers in multiple age groups ranging from 10 and under to 70 and over. The Kids Dash is specifically for participants aged 10 and under and is not a timed event.
All finishers across all distances receive a holiday-themed race shirt and a commemorative medal. The event features a festive atmosphere with holiday music and a costume contest. Following the completion of their distance, participants can access the race rally tent for refreshments, including cookies and milk.
