Summer Meltdown Half Marathon - Little Rock
The Summer Meltdown Half Marathon takes place on August 8, 2026 at River Front Park in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The event offers multiple race options, a virtual entry, and a range of volunteer roles to support the in-person events.
Race distances include:
- Kids Dash, 20 yards, for children 10 and under, untimed, includes tee shirt and medal
- 1 Mile, untimed, includes tee shirt and medal
- 5K, 3.11 miles, chip timed with overall trophies and age group awards
- Quarter Marathon, 6.55 miles, chip timed with overall trophies and age group awards
- Half Marathon, 13.1 miles, chip timed with overall trophies and age group awards
- Virtual Run, 13.1 miles, run remotely
- Volunteer then Run, 3.11 miles, limited to first five participants, includes chip timing, tee shirt, and medal
Awards follow standard age groups with medals or pins for top finishers and trophies for overall winners in chip timed distances. Aid stations with water are positioned along the course. Course surfaces may include pavement, crushed granite, and some dirt paths. Packet pickup is offered starting 1.5 hours before the event start time; shirt guarantee cutoff is 10 days before the event. Volunteers check in at the registration tent 1.5 hours before the start and may receive race shirts, VIP access, or a future race entry or a prepaid gift card as listed.
