Event overview
The Wiener Run 5K & 10K - Houston takes place on May 16, 2026, at Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land, Texas. The event is produced by Bigfoot Running Company. The race includes on-site activities such as a live DJ, finish-line announcements, aid stations on the course, and adoptable dogs on site. A portion of proceeds will be donated to a local wiener dog rescue group, and organizers will collect dog food, toys, and treats at the event. Packet pickup opens 1.5 hours before the race start.

Awards, entry and course
The 5K and 10K feature overall trophies for 1st male and female, masters (40+) recognition pins, and standard age group awards. Age groups listed range from 10 & under up to 70+. Youth pricing allows ages 12 and under to enter the 5K or 10K for $15. Finish-line service includes a complimentary hot dog and beverage for runners. The course surface includes pavement, crushed granite, and grass paths, and events occur in public parks where participants may encounter dog walkers and picnickers.
