Event Details
The Wiener Run 5K & 10K is a running event taking place at Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land, Texas. The event is organized by Bigfoot Running Company.
Distances and Activities
The event includes several timed and untimed activities:
- 5k Run (3.1 Miles): A chip-timed race.
- 10K Run (6.22 miles): A chip-timed race.
- 1 Mile Run: An untimed run.
- Kids Dash: A 20-yard dash for participants 10 years old and under.
- Virtual Run: An option to participate remotely.
- Volunteer then Run 5K: A limited option to volunteer before running the 5K.
Event Features
The event has a theme supporting a local wiener dog rescue group. Organizers will be collecting donations of dog food, toys, and treats. A free hot dog and beverage is provided for every runner at the finish line.
Other features include finisher medals, event t-shirts, aid stations on the course, and a live DJ. Awards include Bigfoot Trophies for the first overall male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K, as well as age group awards.
