Summer Meltdown Half Marathon - Dallas
The Summer Meltdown Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Audubon Park, 342 W Oates Rd, Garland, TX 75043. The event is produced by Bigfoot Running Company. Registration options include in-person and a virtual run. The event proceeds regardless of weather.
Distances, course and services
- Kids Dash - about 20 yards, for ages 10 and under, not timed, includes shirt and medal.
- 1 Mile - one mile, not chip timed, includes shirt and medal.
- 5K - 3.11 miles, chip timed, overall trophies and age-group awards.
- Quarter Marathon - 6.55 miles, chip timed, overall trophies and age-group awards.
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles, chip timed, overall trophies and age-group awards.
- Volunteer then Run - 5K option limited to first five sign-ups.
- Virtual Run - remote participation option.
The course uses mixed surfaces, including paved trails, crushed granite, and some dirt paths. Aid stations will provide water on course. Standard awards apply for the 5K, Quarter Marathon and Half Marathon, including 1st overall male/female trophies, masters (40+) recognition pins, and age-group pins across multiple age brackets. Packet pickup is available prior to the event. Shirt guarantee cutoff is 10 days before the event. Volunteer roles include water station, course monitor, finish-line helper, sweeper, packet pickup, lead bike, and mascot; volunteers receive race shirt and other listed incentives.
