Event Overview
The Spring Fling - Fort Worth is a running event presented by Bigfoot Running Company. It features multiple distances and activities on a single day in April 2026. The event location is in Halton City, Texas.
Event Distances
The event includes several run options:
- Kids Dash: A 20-yard dash for children 10 years and under.
- 1 Mile Run: A non-timed run.
- 5k Run: A chip-timed run over 3.1 miles.
- 10K Run: A chip-timed run over 6.2 miles.
- Volunteer then Run 5K: A combined volunteer and 5K participation option.
- Virtual Run: An option to participate remotely.
Event Features
All participants receive a finisher medal and a race t-shirt. The event includes a live DJ, name announcements at the finish line, and aid stations on the course. Snacks and refreshments are provided at a Race Rally Tent.
Awards are given for top finishers, including Bigfoot Trophies for first overall male and female runners in the 5K and 10K, and special recognition for the first Masters (40+) finishers. Standard age group awards are also presented across multiple categories.
A Youth Pricing option is available for runners 12 and under for the 5K and 10K distances.
Volunteer Information
There are opportunities to volunteer in various roles such as water station attendant, course monitor, finish line helper, or as the Bigfoot mascot. A specific "Volunteer then Run 5K" option is limited to the first five registrants and includes a race bib, shirt, and medal.

The race proceeds in all weather conditions. Packet pickup begins 1.5 hours before the race start. The course surface may include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths.
