About the race
The Legacy 5K Fun Run is an annual run and walk hosted by A Memory Grows, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides outreach and support to grieving parents and serves as a resource to hospitals, clinics, hospice groups, churches, and other nonprofits. The event takes place on April 3, 2027, at 3024 Acme Brick Plaza, Fort Worth, TX 76109, United States.
The event offers a 5K distance in two in person registration formats and a virtual option. In person options include individual registration and team registration; team pricing reduces to $30 once four people join a team and the first three registrants on that team receive a $5 refund. Virtual 5K registration includes shipping of a shirt and a finisher medal. Organizers note that participants who register by March 21, 2027, are guaranteed a t shirt, and virtual items will likely arrive before the race date if registered by March 1 but this is not guaranteed. Registration opens September 19, 2026, and registration deadlines vary by option.
The event is open to anyone who wishes to honor the lives and legacies of children. The race is not officially timed by a timing company though many serious runners participate.
