Rodeo Stampede - Houston
The Rodeo Stampede takes place on March 6, 2027 at John Paul Landing Park in Houston, TX. The event is organized by Bigfoot Running Company and includes live awards, a race rally tent with snacks and refreshments, and on-course aid stations offering water.
Distances offered include:
- Kids Dash 50 m for ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile
- 5K 3.11 miles, chip timed
- Quarter Marathon 6.55 miles, chip timed
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles, chip timed
- Volunteer then Run 5K 3.11 miles, limited spots
- Virtual Run 13.1 miles
All finishers receive a medal and a shirt; organizers note a belt-buckle style finisher medal for some participants. The Kids Dash is untimed, includes a youth tee and a special kids medal, and will be photographed by the race camera. Chip timing is used for the 5K, quarter marathon, and half marathon.
The event includes a cowboy costume contest judged by crowd reaction, with one winner receiving a future race entry, a Rodeo Runslinger trophy, and a Bigfoot prize pack. A DJ provides music at the rally. Awards include overall trophies for fastest male and female in chip-timed events and standard age group pins across multiple brackets. Volunteer roles with varying duties and benefits are available; full race volunteers may earn a race shirt, VIP access, and a free future entry or a $20 digital gift card.
