Rodeo Stampede - Houston
Rodeo Stampede takes place on March 6, 2027 at John Paul Landing Park in Houston, TX 77433. The event offers multiple timed and untimed running options plus a virtual option.
Race distances offered:
- Kids Dash, about 50 m, for ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile, untimed
- 5K (3.11 miles), chip timed
- Quarter Marathon, 6.55 miles, chip timed
- Half Marathon, 13.1 miles, chip timed
- Virtual Run, 13.1 miles
- Volunteer then Run option for the 5K distance
All finishers receive a shirt and a finisher medal; the medal is described as a belt buckle that can be used as a genuine belt buckle. The 5K, quarter marathon and half marathon include 1st overall trophies for male and female finishers and age group awards; masters recognition is provided for first place male and female age 40 and over. Aid stations will be on course and snacks and refreshments will be available at the race rally tent.
The event program includes a Cowboy Costume Contest with one crowd-voted winner and prizes that include a future free race entry, a Rodeo Runslinger trophy and a Bigfoot prize pack. A DJ will provide music, and a Bigfoot mascot will be available for photos. Packet pickup is offered 1.5 hours before the event and shirts are guaranteed if ordered at least 10 days before the race.
