Event overview
Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Houston takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at John Paul Landing Park in Cypress, TX 77433. The event offers in-person and virtual options and includes a holiday-themed costume contest with prizes that include two free entries to a future Bigfoot Race, a trophy, and a holiday treats bucket. A DJ will provide music, and cookies and milk will be offered at the finish area. Packet pickup is provided before the race. Course maps are available for the 5K and 10K.
Race format and services
Distances offered:
- Kids Dash - about 50 meters, for children 10 and under, not timed, includes shirt, medal, recognition pin
- 1 Mile - not chip timed, includes shirt and medal
- 5K - 3.11 miles, chip timed, standard age group awards and 1st overall trophies
- 10K - 6.22 miles, chip timed, standard age group awards and 1st overall Bigfoot trophies
- Volunteer then Run 5K - 3.11 miles, limited spots, includes chip-timed bib, shirt, and medal
- Virtual Run
All finishers receive a race shirt and medal. The 5K and 10K feature age group awards and masters recognition for age 40+. Aid stations will provide water on course. The event is held on park and greenbelt trails that may include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Volunteer roles include course monitor, water station, finish line helper, and other positions; volunteers may receive race shirts, medals, and a future free entry or a $20 digital gift card.
