The Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Houston takes place on Sunday, December 6, 2026, at John Paul Landing Park, 24202 W Rd, Cypress, TX 77433. The event program includes multiple distances and formats:
- Kids Dash - ~50 m, not timed, for ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile - 1 mile, not chip timed
- 5K - 3.11 miles, chip timed
- 10K - 6.22 miles, chip timed
- Volunteer then Run (5K) - 3.11 miles, includes custom chip-timed bib
- Virtual Run
Race format, awards and logistics
All finishers receive a race shirt and a finisher medal. The 5K and 10K include chip timing, overall trophies for 1st male and female, special recognition for 1st place masters (age 40+), and age-group pins across ranges from 10 and under through 70+. The Kids Dash is not timed and includes a shirt, medal, and a Kids Dash recognition pin.
Amenities listed include a DJ, post-race cookies and milk, snacks at the race rally tent, aid stations on course for water, and live awards announcements at the registration tent after finishing. Course surfaces may include paved trails, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths. Packet pickup is offered 1.5 hours before the event start; volunteers are asked to arrive 1.5 hours before start time. Additional notes: youth pricing for 5K and 10K (12 and under) is $15, a shirt guarantee cutoff is 10 days before the event, and a costume contest offers prizes including two free future race entries, a trophy, and a holiday treats bucket.
