Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Houston
Gingerbread Lane takes place at John Paul Landing Park in Cypress, Texas. The event offers in-person and virtual race options and includes holiday-themed shirts and finisher medals for all participants. DJ Sasquatch will provide music, and post-race cookies and milk will be available. A costume contest offers prizes including two free entries to a future Bigfoot race, a trophy, and a holiday treats bucket.
Distances and options:
- Kids Dash: 50 meter sprint for children 10 and under.
- 1 Mile: untimed one mile event, includes shirt and medal.
- 5K: chip timed 3.11 mile race with age group awards.
- 10K: chip timed 6.22 mile race with Bigfoot trophies.
- Virtual Run: 6.22 mile virtual participation option.
- Volunteer then Run: 5K option limited to first 20, includes chip timing and a tee.
The 5K and 10K feature standard age group awards, first overall trophies for male and female finishers, and special recognition for masters age 40 and over. Youth pricing is available for 12 and under for the 5K and 10K. Aid stations will provide water on course. Courses are typically on parks and green belts and may use pavement, crushed granite, and dirt. Packet pickup is offered 1.5 hours before the start, shirts are guaranteed if ordered at least 10 days before the event, and no-refund policy applies with options to transfer entries.
