Event Information
The Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Houston is a holiday-themed race on December 6, 2026. The event takes place at John Paul Landing Park in Cypress, Texas.
Available Distances
The event includes several race options:
- Kids Dash (approximately 50 meters)
- 1 Mile run
- 5K run (3.1 miles)
- 10K run (6.22 miles)
- Virtual Run
The Kids Dash is designed for children 10 and under and is not timed. The 1 Mile run is also not chip-timed. The 5K and 10K are chip-timed events. A Volunteer then Run option for the 5K is available for the first 20 registrants.
Event Features
All finishers receive a holiday-themed race shirt and a finisher medal. Youth pricing is available for the 5K and 10K for participants 12 and under. Group discounts are offered.
The event features a holiday costume contest with prizes, including two free entries to a future Bigfoot race, a trophy, and a bucket of holiday treats. DJ Sasquatch will provide music. Post-race refreshments include holiday cookies and milk. Aid stations with water are provided on the course.
Awards are given for the 5K and 10K, including overall trophies for male and female finishers, special recognition for masters winners, and age group awards. Packet pickup is available starting 1.5 hours before the race.
Volunteer opportunities are available with various roles, and volunteers can receive a race shirt, medal, and other benefits.
