Day of the Dead Half Marathon - Corpus Christi
The event takes place at Heritage Park in Corpus Christi, Texas, and includes multiple running options and a virtual race. The course passes through park areas with lakes, trees, and mixed surfaces; participants may encounter pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Aid stations are placed on the course to provide water and assistance.
A costume contest is held before the race with judging for creativity and authenticity; a winner receives a Day of the Dead Best Costume Award and a prize package. A post-race rally tent hosts awards announcements, a DJ, and Mexican food and drinks for finishers. Results and awards are available live at the registration tent after finishing.
Volunteer options include a Full Race Volunteer role that provides a race shirt, souvenir medal (subject to availability), VIP race access, and a choice of a future race entry or a $20 pre paid gift card. A Volunteer then Run option lets participants help with packet pickup before joining the 5K; that option includes a chip timed bib, tee shirt, and finisher medal. Packet pickup is offered beginning one and a half hours before the start. Shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations made at least ten days before the event.
