The Day of the Dead Half Marathon - Corpus Christi takes place on October 11, 2026, at Bayside Park in Corpus Christi, TX (1517 N Shoreline Blvd, 78401). The event is presented by Bigfoot Running Company. Multiple race options and a virtual run are offered. A costume contest is held before the race and is judged for creativity and authenticity, with a prize awarded to the winner. A post-race rally tent will host music, snacks, and refreshments, and awards are announced there.
Race format and services
Packet pickup is offered starting 1.5 hours before the race start. Aid stations are located on course to provide water and basic assistance. Course surfaces may include paved trails, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Timing details: the 5K, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon are chip timed. Volunteer roles include course monitors and aid station staff; volunteers may receive a race shirt, souvenir medal (subject to availability), VIP race access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 prepaid digital gift card. The "Volunteer then Run" option includes a custom chip-timed bib, tee shirt, and finisher medal. Shirt guarantee cutoff is 10 days before the event.
