Day of the Dead Half Marathon: Texas Parks Edition, Bayside Park, Corpus Christi
This event offers multiple running options at Bayside Park in Corpus Christi, Texas, with courses held in park and green belt settings. The routes may use paved trails, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths. Aid stations are available on course to provide water and assistance.
A pre-race costume contest is held at the starting area with judging based on creativity and authenticity; the winner receives the Day of the Dead Best Costume Award and a prize package. Post-race activities take place at a rally tent and include live awards announcements, music from a DJ, and snacks and refreshments. Participants receive event shirts and finisher medals according to the chosen distance, with a shirt size guarantee cutoff ten days before the event.
