Coastal Bend Blood Center Run for Blood

The Coastal Bend Blood Center Run for Blood is an annual fundraiser held at Waters Edge Park in Corpus Christi, TX. The event includes in-person and virtual race options and supports the Coastal Bend Blood Center, a nonprofit blood donor organization serving a 10-county area since 1969. The Blood Center provides community education, donor recruiting, blood drawing, processing, and distribution, and operates bloodmobiles seven days a week. More than 90% of the center’s annual expenditures go directly to program services, and the run is the center’s only fundraiser of the year.

Packet pickup takes place the day before the race at Fleet Feet Sports, 1412 Airline Road, and on race morning at the event. Sponsorship commitments have a stated deadline of September 23, 2026. Registration details note a price increase of five dollars on September 25 and a guaranteed shirt deadline of September 25. The first 450 participants to register will receive finisher medals.

A virtual runner option allows participants to complete their chosen distance from the date of registration through October 10. Virtual participants who register by September 25 will receive an official event t-shirt and finisher medal. Age group awards and overall placements are reserved for in-person participants only.
