The Wiener Run 5K & 10K - Austin

Awards and categories: 1st overall male/female receive a Bigfoot Trophy; 1st Masters (40+) receive a recognition pin; standard age-group awards are given. Age groups start at 10 & under and continue through 70+.
On-site features and logistics: finish-line service includes a free hot dog and beverage for runners. The event will host adoptable dogs and will collect donations of dog food, toys, and treats for a local wiener dog rescue; a portion of proceeds will support the rescue. Aid stations will be available on course. Course surfaces include pavement, crushed granite, and grass paths. Race shirts and finisher medals are provided; there is a shirt-guarantee deadline set at 10 days before race day. The volunteer-then-run option is limited to the first five sign-ups.
