Event overview
The Wiener Run 5K & 10K - Austin is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026, at East Metro Park, 9080 Burleson Manor Rd, Manor, TX 78653. The event is produced by Bigfoot Running Company. The race takes place in a public park and will proceed rain or shine. Course surfaces include pavement, crushed granite, and grass paths. The event partners with a local wiener dog rescue and will collect dog food, toys, and treats; adoptable dogs will be on site. Aid stations and on-course support are provided.
Races, awards, and logistics
- Kids Dash - 20-yard dash, age 10 and under, not timed.
- 1 Mile - not chip-timed.
- 5K - 3.11 miles, chip-timed, age-group awards.
- 10K - 6.22 miles, chip-timed, age-group awards.
- Volunteer then Run 5K - volunteer role plus chip-timed 5K entry, limited spots.
- Virtual Run - remote participation option.
Awards include Bigfoot trophies for 1st overall male and female, masters recognition for 40+, and standard age-group medals for 5K and 10K. Finishers receive medals and shirts; a free hot dog and beverage are served at the finish line. Packet pickup is available on race morning. Shirt orders are guaranteed if requested at least 10 days before race day. Volunteers receive race shirts, VIP access, and a choice of a future race entry or a $20 Amazon gift card.
