Event overview
The Wiener Run 5K & 10K is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026, at East Metro Park in Manor, TX. The event includes multiple distances and a virtual option. Race offerings include:
- Kids Dash - 20-yard dash for ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile - untimed community mile
- 5K - approximately 3.1 miles (chip-timed)
- 10K - 6.22 miles
The 5K and 10K include age-group awards and overall awards for 1st place male and female. Masters recognition is given for 1st place in the 40+ category.
Logistics, facilities, and extras
Packet pickup opens 1.5 hours before the race start. Shirts are guaranteed if registered at least 10 days before race day. The course surface includes pavement, crushed granite, and grass paths. Aid stations are placed along the course. Finish-line service includes a complimentary hot dog and beverage for each runner. Event features listed by the organizer include finisher medals, race tees, live music and announcements, and awards presentation at the finish area. Volunteer options include a "Volunteer Then Run" role for the 5K limited to the first five sign-ups; other volunteer roles offer a race shirt, VIP access, and a choice of a future race entry or a $20 gift card.
