Big Red Chair Triathlon and 5k Race : event overview
The event takes place at the Chris Lyle Aquatic Center in Saint Cloud, Florida. It includes a Super Sprint triathlon, a Kids Run Micro Mini for young children, and a separate 5k running race. Participants receive a race bib, a finisher’s medal, event photos, and official results posted online.
The Super Sprint is open to athletes aged 8 years and older and consists of a pool swim, a bike segment, and a run. The Kid's Micro Mini is geared toward children under 8 years old and features shorter swim, bike, and run legs. Required equipment for triathlon participants includes a bicycle and a bicycle helmet. Athletes should wear swimsuits for the swim and running shoes for the run. Bibs must be worn on the front of shirts for official timing.
Check-in is at the front of the aquatic facility. Parking is available at the facility and surrounding Civic Center areas; street parking is not available. An opening ceremony will review the race course and event details before competition. Refunds are handled in tiers: full, partial, or none depending on how far in advance a cancellation is requested. Refund requests must be submitted in writing by email and approved refunds are processed within 10 to 15 business days.
