Big Red Chair Triathlon and 5k Race
The event takes place on September 6, 2026 at 2991 17th Street, Saint Cloud, FL 34769, United States. It includes a Super Sprint triathlon for ages 8 and up, a Kid's Micro Mini for children under 8, and a separate 5k running race.
Distances for each event:
- Super Sprint Triathlon: 200 yd pool swim, 4 mile bike, 5k run
- Kid's Micro Mini: 50 yd pool swim, 2 mile bike, 0.5 mile run
- 5k Race: 3.1 miles run
Entry fees differ by event. The event provides a race bib, finisher’s medal, event photo, and official results posted online. Awards are given to the top three men and women in the Super Sprint and the 5k, and to the top three boys and girls in the Kid's Micro Mini.
On race day athletes should bring a bicycle and a bicycle helmet, shirt with bib on the front or a bib belt, socks and running shoes, and a towel. Swimmers may use goggles and swim caps. Athletes are expected to arrive in swimwear for the pool swim and to follow a transition from the pool to bike racks. Bikes will follow a marked loop before the final run. Parking is available at the facility and surrounding Civic Center areas; there is no street parking. Check in is at the front of the facility.
The refund policy specifies full refunds for cancellations 30 or more days before the event, 50 percent refunds for cancellations 15 to 29 days before the event, and no refunds for cancellations 14 or fewer days before the event. Refund requests must be submitted in writing by email and approved refunds are processed within 10 to 15 business days. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
