Big Red Apple 5K & 1 Mile
The event takes place in Downtown Cornelia, Georgia, with both courses beginning and ending at the Big Red Apple monument on Clarkesville Street. The 5K course passes through Cornelia City Park. The event is presented by First Baptist Church of Cornelia.
Two distances are offered:
- 5K race
- 1 Mile fun run
Participants receive a t-shirt, a finisher medal, and official race timing. Awards are given to the overall male and female winners and to age group category winners. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $35 for the 5K and $20 for the 1 Mile. Registration opens June 30, 2026; 5K registration closes August 15, 2026, and 1 Mile registration closes September 26, 2026. Registrations completed by September 12, 2026 are guaranteed a shirt; registrations through race day will receive shirts while supplies last.
Proceeds benefit the children and youth ministries at First Baptist Cornelia. Sponsorship opportunities are available through the organizer.
