Big Red Apple 5K & Fun Run
The event includes a 5K race and a 1 Mile fun run. Both start and finish at First Baptist Church of Cornelia. The 5K course runs through Cornelia City Park. The one mile course is four laps around the church property.
Participants receive a t-shirt, a finisher medal, and official race timing. Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners and to age group category winners. Packet pick-up is available on race day. A warm-up session will be led by Jazzercise and BSG Coffee will be on site.
Registration for the 5K opens on 2026-06-30 and closes on 2026-08-30; the listed registration fee is $35.00. Registration for the one mile run opens on 2026-06-30 and closes on 2026-09-19; the listed registration fee is $20.00. Registrants who register by 2026-09-06 are guaranteed a shirt; registrations through race day receive shirts while supplies last.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the children and youth ministries at First Baptist Cornelia. The Big Red Apple Festival takes place in Downtown Cornelia after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
