Big Red Apple 5K & 1 Mile
The Big Red Apple event takes place in Downtown Cornelia, Georgia at 141 Clarkesville St. The 5K route begins and ends at the Big Red Apple monument, goes under the Tim Loves Tink bridge, and passes through Cornelia City Park. The program includes a shorter one mile fun run on the same day.

Registrants receive a t-shirt, a finisher medal, and official race timing. Awards are given to the overall male and female winners and to winners in age group categories. Packet pick-up begins at 7:45 AM on race morning. Registration opens June 30, 2026; the 5K registration closes August 15, 2026, and the 1 Mile registration closes September 26, 2026. Registration fees listed for the events are $35.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for the 1 Mile. Participants who register by September 12 are guaranteed a shirt; those who register through race day will receive shirts while supplies last.
Proceeds benefit the children and youth ministries at First Baptist Cornelia. The event coincides with the Big Red Apple Festival in Downtown Cornelia. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
