Big Red Apple 5K & 1 Mile - Cornelia, GA
The event offers two running distances in Downtown Cornelia with the start and finish at the Big Red Apple monument. The 5K course goes through Cornelia City Park and returns to the monument.
- 5K: Begins and ends at the Big Red Apple monument, course through Cornelia City Park.
- 1 Mile: Fun run that begins and ends at the Big Red Apple monument.
Registration opens for both events on 2026-06-30. The 5K registration closes on 2026-08-15 with a fee of $35.00. The 1 mile fun run registration closes on 2026-09-26 with a fee of $20.00. Participants registered by 2026-09-12 are guaranteed a shirt; registrations through race day receive shirts while supplies last.
Participants receive a t-shirt, a finisher medal, and official race timing. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners and to age group category winners.
