12th Annual Big Bear Turkey Trot

The Big Bear Turkey Trot features a paved running course through the pine trees of Big Bear Lake. The event starts and finishes at Dank Donuts in the Moonridge Corridor. Participants navigate a route that includes the Rathbun Creek Trail and a loop through the Moonridge Zoo.

The event consists of the following distance:

  • 3 Miles

Every participant receives a holiday finisher ornament and access to a yoga warmup session before the run begins. The event includes race timing and eligibility for awards. A costume contest is held as part of the festivities, and specific waves are available for those participating in costume.

The post-race gathering, referred to as the Danksgiving Celebration, takes place at the finish line. This celebration includes live holiday music and the availability of adult beverages. The course remains open and the event proceeds regardless of weather conditions, including rain, shine, or snow. Strollers are permitted on the course, and children under the age of five are included in the event for free.
