Bev AC duathlon : Skidby, 25 June 2026
This is a community duathlon held near Skidby Windmill. Entry to the event is free. Food after the event is optional and charged: entry plus food costs £5 for Beverley Athletic Club members or volunteers, and £10 for non-members. Volunteers who wish to eat should select the £5 option.
The format is a run-cycle-run event with the following segments:
- Run 2 miles
- Cycle 10 miles (Ferriby 10 route)
- Run 2 miles
The first run is a circular route with approximately half off-road. It starts near the windmill, goes north into the village, follows Main Street for about 1 mile, continues along Riplingham Road past the cemetery, then along a public right of way and field edge back to the windmill area. The cycle route follows the Ferriby 10 course with left turns and finishes at the windmill transition area. Any roadworthy bike may be used; a cycle helmet is strongly advised and participants should familiarise themselves with the route and observe the Highway Code. The second run follows the same course as the first.
Parking is limited in a small car park near the start or on Mill Road. Participants are asked not to park in the Skidby Mill Restaurant car park or near the start/finish hill. The event is not an official race and has no official marshals. Finishing times will be recorded and split times may be given; transitions are included in the cycle time. Chip timing will be provided. Standards awards are listed as Gold under 60 minutes, Silver under 75 minutes, and Bronze under 90 minutes. The food venue will be confirmed.
