The Hardwolds 40
The Hardwolds 40 is a challenging 44-mile running event held in the Yorkshire Wolds, starting in Beverley and finishing in Malton. The route follows the Hudson Way before joining the Wolds Way near Goodmanham, passing through scenic chalk landscapes, market towns, and historic villages such as Londesborough, Millington, Thixendale, and the deserted medieval village of Wharram Percy. Runners have 20 hours to complete the course, with options to run supported or unsupported.
Checkpoints offer food, drinks, and hot meals, and a drop bag system is available. Finishers receive a medal and T-shirt, making it a rewarding ultramarathon experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
