Bessemer Hometown Run
The 36th annual Bessemer Hometown Run in Bessemer, Michigan features community road-race events that start at Bessemer City Hall on Sophie and Colby streets. The event offers multiple distances for runners and walkers.
Distances:
- 10K
- 2 Mile
- Stroller 2 Mile
Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners and to the top two male and female finishers in each age group. A special award is given to the family with the most participants, and there is an award for the top overall stroller in the 2 Mile event.
Age groups for awards are 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75+.
The race is part of the town’s week-long 4th of July festivities, which culminate with a fireworks display at dusk on July 4. Registration includes early bird pricing through June 24 with higher fees for later registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
