Stubborn Mule Adventure Race
Organized by 180 Adventure, the 16th annual Stubborn Mule Adventure Race takes place June 27-28, 2026, near Cable, Wisconsin. The event uses a time-based format with multiple race durations and a choose-your-own-adventure approach to route selection.
The event offers the following race durations:
- 5-hour event
- 12-hour event
- 24-hour event
Courses include sections of navigation, biking, and paddling. The format allows participants to select routes and plan their own strategies; longer race durations include additional navigation sections and more route-choice opportunities. The start location is kept secret and will be revealed at least one week before race day; it is located within 20 minutes of Cable, WI 54821.
Registration opens November 1, 2025 and closes January 11, 2026. Published entry fees are $80 for the 5-hour event, $150 for the 12-hour event, and $250 for the 24-hour event.
