Stubborn Mule Adventure Race
The Stubborn Mule Adventure Race is a multi-discipline event held in the vicinity of Cable, Wisconsin. The race organizes three distinct duration-based events designed to accommodate a range of experience levels, from first-time participants to seasoned racers. The event is sanctioned by the USARA and utilizes a style that allows participants to determine their own routes across the course.
The competition features several outdoor disciplines, including navigation, biking, and paddling. For the longer duration events, participants encounter sections focused on strategic navigation with multiple route choices. The specific starting point is kept confidential until one week before the event, though it is located within a 20-minute distance of Cable.
Participants can choose from the following event durations:
- 5-Hour
- 12-Hour
- 24-Hour
Athletes taking part in the 12-Hour and 24-Hour events are required to possess either an annual USARA membership or a single-event license. The 16th annual edition of this race continues to highlight the natural terrain of the Midwest through its combined biking and water-based segments.
