Berry Pond Scramble
The Scramble is a 5.6 K trail run and walk that starts and finishes at Berry Pond in Harold Parker State Forest, located on Middleton Road in North Andover, MA. The event is scheduled for June 14, 2026. Walkers and runners are both permitted, and well behaved dogs on a leash with up-to-date licenses may accompany participants. The trails are not suitable for strollers.
Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in each category, and all entrants receive a free bandana. The Friends of Harold Parker provides hotdogs after the event. The field is limited to 200 entrants; organizers state that fees are five dollars higher for day of event registration and that pre-registration is encouraged. Registration options listed include adult, child (15 and under), a family rate for two adults plus children, and additional family member entries.
The event serves as a fundraiser for the Friends of Harold Parker, a nonprofit organization that promotes, supports, and advocates for Harold Parker State Forest. The organization’s activities include trail clean-ups, marking and maintenance, invasive plant removal, and, in cooperation with the Department of Conservation and Recreation, installation of kiosks and construction of bridges and boardwalks.
