Event Overview

The Berry Bowl Blitz is a plogging event held in Bozeman to coincide with Global Running Day. Plogging involves the activity of jogging while collecting litter along the route. The event is based at the Bozeman Running Company storefront on Main St.

Participants can choose their preferred distance during the registration process, with options ranging from 1 mile to 6 miles. Runners are organized into teams based on these distance preferences. The organizers provide necessary supplies for the activity, including gloves, trash bags, and recycling bags.

Course and Activity

The event features several mapped routes designed to cover the north, south, east, and west sections of the downtown area. Participants start at the designated meeting point, collect litter throughout their chosen route, and return all gathered materials to the starting location upon completion.

Participation and Post-Run

Entry to the event is free of charge, though online registration is required in advance. After completing the run and returning the collected litter, participants receive a Mountain Berry Bowl. Runners select their bowl type during the registration process. Additionally, all registered individuals are entered into a giveaway for a pair of running shoes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
