The March Melt Fun Run for Pediatric Cancer
The March Melt Fun Run for Pediatric Cancer takes place in Bozeman on March 1, 2026. The event raises funds to support families of children in Montana diagnosed with pediatric cancer. The start location is behind the Rocking R Bar in downtown Bozeman, with the meeting area at the Rocking R Bar. The event location is listed as 211 E Main St, Bozeman, MT 59715.
Race options include two distances:
- 5K
- 1 mile
Post-race activities include food and a raffle. Participants are offered a free hot dog and chips after the event.
The run is organized in support of Cancer Support Community Montana (CSCMT), a 501c3 nonprofit based in Bozeman and part of the national Cancer Support Community network. CSCMT was established in 2004 and operates chapters in Bozeman and Missoula, with a chapter in development in Helena. The organization provides more than 60 programs and classes per month for people and families affected by cancer; these services are offered free of charge in person, online and in hybrid formats.
In 2025 CSCMT assumed the mission of the Lightwell Foundation and established a dedicated Pediatric Cancer Fund to help children with cancer and their families. The fund helps reduce travel and lodging costs when local treatment requires out-of-state care. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
